Anoop was born in Burla, India in 1966. After schooling in Delhi, Jamshedpur, Kolkata and finally in Darjeeling, Anoop decided not to finish year 12 and instead opted for a Diploma in Automobile Engineering (DAE) in Chennai - to follow his passion for tearing down and building up cars.
After completing his DAE, Anoop did a short stint as a trainee service manager in a truck service centre in Guwahati.
Anoop then left India in 1988 to follow his passion to work for a global automotive company and joined Ford Motor Company of Australia in Melbourne. He started off in the shop floor and used his knowledge of MS-DOS learnt while playing on his dad's NGO's (CINI-Child In Need Institute) HCL computers to set up the torque control system for the Ford Capri export program to America.
While working at the Broadmeadows Assembly Plant leading its torque control systems, Anoop convinced his superiors to let him enrol for the Ford sponsored Master of Engineering Degree in Advanced Manufacturing Systems with RMIT, Melbourne. Anoop completed his Masters in 1994 and his final year project on overhead conveyor system was later implemented at a cost of A$10 mil to improve quality, safety and cost in the Ford Broadmeadows Assembly Plant.
The Master's program had a subject on Entrepreneurship and it was here that Anoop's passion in Entrepreneurship was born.
Ford is a great employer and Anoop later went on to complete company sponsored postgraduate studies in Human Resources and Entrepreneurship from Monash University and Swinburne Graduate School of Entrepreneurship respectively in Melbourne.
Anoop has a multi-disciplinary career and has worked in Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Warranty System, eBusiness, Launch Planning & Workforce Readiness and most recently in Human Resources with Ford.
His career achievements as an intrapreneur include starting or re-engineering many systems and processes, saving several million dollars through eBusiness initiatives, managing large change management projects in Ford's Asia Pacific operations, and developing and coaching local nationals to assume positions of leadership.
He has travelled extensively in Asia and Europe. After working for six years in senior HR positions in Ford's Asia Pacific's regional office in Bangkok he is now based in India and leads the HR function for Ford's Business Services division.
Anoop loves Entrepreneurship and has a dream about starting a world class organization.
Learning from his father Dr Samir Chaudhuri about the importance of giving back to society, Anoop has volunteered actively in initiatives such as Victoria's Country Fire Authority, ISKON Food Program, and Smith Family.
Anoop is also passionate about developing and motivating others and has a belief that excellence is a key to success.
He is married with two girls and enjoys playing with them between working full out at Ford, writing career advice articles on career-change-mentor.com and learning and scheming about his entrepreneurial desires.
